Hi, I'm Cole.

I'm a growth marketer based in Columbus, Ohio, and I've spent the last 12 years helping companies grow, first in-house at startups like Root Insurance and Fuego and at Harley-Davidson, and since 2022 through my own practice, Scalable Marketing.

I do my best work with companies that already have product-market fit and are ready to grow quickly. Usually that means building out a best-in-class marketing function: getting tracking and reporting right, figuring out what a customer is actually worth, and then putting real budget behind the channels that bring those customers in profitably. Along the way I've managed more than $250M in ad spend.

I also own a couple of "boring" businesses, including CBUS Concrete, a residential concrete company I co-founded here in Columbus. Spending my own money on marketing keeps me practical about what's actually worth doing.

Over the last few years I've leaned hard into AI. I use it to build the tools, reporting and websites behind my client work, which lets me cover a lot more ground than a typical one-person shop.
